PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS & SALVATION

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). In order to be saved and have an eternal inheritance in Heaven, we have to not only believe in God, but accept Him as Lord as well. You have to let Him into your life. Pray to God, asking Him to forgive you for all the sins that you have committed in your lifetime. Thank Him for sending His Son to die for you on the cross and that His Son rose again to life. Thank Him for loving you. Thank Him that you can believe and receive His Son, Jesus, into your heart. Ask His Holy Spirit to come and guide you, ask Jesus to dwell in you for the rest of your life. Pray something like the following, but don't feel "stuck" to some typed prayer. God is your friend. Pray whatever comes to mind, but let Him come into your life.

"Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen."
