Pastor's Message
Greetings!
My name is Pete Ely and I am the pastor of Cohansey Baptist Church. I
have been a pastor in various churches for over thirty years and I enjoy
my job! God sent me as an interim pastor to this church in 2003
and the church called me to full time service in 2004. I am
married to a pastor and we have five children, four of whom are grown
and one is in high school.
My vision for the church is to see it become a place where all those who
desire can encounter our Lord Jesus during our worship services.
He is the one who called us together as part of His body to serve His
purposes in the world. Jesus is at work among us touching hearts,
bodies and lives to transform us into the people He created us to be.
In gratitude to the Lord and under His guidance, we seek to work
alongside Him both in our community and around the world hoping to
reveal His wonderful loving nature through our words and actions.
May God touch your life today through His son Jesus. May He grant
you a measure of His peace and lead you by His Holy Spirit.
